    Correct. Meaning proper. As in 正式 (formal), 正理 (proper principle). Hence, correcting what is wrong is also called 正, as in 匡正 (rectify), 釐正 (amend). | The side an object faces is called 正, as in 正面 (front), 反面 (back). Also, centered. As in 正坐 (sitting properly), 正廳 (main hall). | Straight and not crooked. As in 公正 (fair), 正直 (upright). Calling former sages 先正 has this meaning. | Pure and unmixed.
