    The forehead. In ancient times, among the southern barbarian peoples, some carved their foreheads and filled them with cinnabar and blue dye, called 雕題 (tattooed forehead). | 標題 (title). Writing characters on something so people can know at a glance. As in writing a label is called 題籤. A plaque is called 題額. 題詩 (inscribe a poem), 題辭 (inscribe words) also have this meaning. | 題目 (topic). Placed before a poem or essay, indicating the main idea as the scope of the piece, also abbreviated as 題. As in the opening of an essay explaining the main idea is called 破題. When the meaning of the entire piece is complete, it is called 結題. All ancient literary works have these terms. | 品題. Like 品評 (appraise).
