下 means "below, down, under."
Lower - Lower in position, value, age, etc. Inferior.
Later - After in time, order, or sequence of events.
Descend - To move from a higher to a lower place.
Subordinate - Under the control of another.
Issue an Order - To give a command.
Act - To do something.
