A flower name. Anciently written as 鞠 (chrysanthemum). Stem is slightly woody. Leaves have notches. Blooms in late autumn. Varieties are extremely numerous. Those with green stems that smell like mugwort, taste bitter and are inedible are called 苦薏. That is wild chrysanthemum.
