    A title for high officials. Such as in the old official system, 正卿, 少卿. | A form of address. Since Qin and Han, rulers have called their ministers 卿. Equals addressing each other also use 卿. During the Six Dynasties, it was a term of endearment. As Yu Ji said to Wang Yan, "You call me 'qing,' I call you 'qing-qing.'" See (Shishuo). Since Sui and Tang, those of lower rank were addressed as 卿.
