A small flying insect that bites people. Its larvae are wrigglers in polluted water. When mature, they transform into mosquitoes. Entire body is grayish-brown. Proboscis is like a needle. Contains poison. Therefore when people are bitten, the skin must swell. Another variety has brown-spotted wings. When resting, it always positions its body at an angle. When it bites people, it can transmit malaria. Called 瘧蚊 (malaria mosquito). Especially harmful to health.
