    鑾鈴. On the front of the emperor's carriage is a phoenix bird with a bell in its mouth. Found in "Notes on the Present and Past." Therefore the emperor's carriage is called 鑾. In Qing, there was the 鑾儀衛, specialists in carriage and ceremonial equipment. 隨鑾 (accompanying the imperial carriage), 迎鑾 (welcoming the imperial carriage) and the like all have this meaning.
