    Name of a musical instrument. There are three types: One is like a bell without a tongue but with a handle. Held and sounded to stop drumming. Used in ancient armies. Found in the commentary to the Rites of Zhou. Also, in Han there was the dancing cymbal, round on top and square on the bottom, with open slats below, containing a copper ball called the tongue. Moving it makes sound. Found in the "Antiquarian Illustrated." Also, a large cymbal is called 鐃. See "鈸" for reference.
