Originally a place name. 郫邵. Found in the Zuo Commentary. Also a surname. Interchangeable with 召. Shaobo Lake is located east of Yangzhou, Jiangsu. Beside it is the Shaobo Dam, built by Xie An in the Jin Dynasty to irrigate farmland. The people, grateful for his virtue, compared him to Duke Shao. Hence the name.
