橄欖 (Olive). Name of a fruit tree. Mostly produced in Fujian and Guangdong. Leaves are long and elliptical. Fruits ripen at the beginning of autumn. Can be eaten raw. Commonly called green fruit (青果). Because its taste is initially astringent but later sweet, it is compared to honest advice that initially sounds harsh, hence also called "remonstrance fruit" (諫果). Can be pressed for oil called olive oil (橄欖油).
