    A halberd with cloth covering. Used in ceremonial processions by kings, princes, and below. Attendants carried it in front as a symbol of authority. The covering was made of red-oiled silk, hence also called 油戟 or 棨戟. When nobility visit, it is said 棨戟遙臨, referring to their ceremonial entourage.
